This 1980s Lag collection came in requiring some soldering. A really nicely well made guitar with a fabulous birds eye maple neck and quilted maple top.
Lag Guitars are a French music company founded in the Occitania region of France, by luthier Michel Lâg-Chavarria in 1980.
These are designed in a small custom shop in the south of France but this model has been now discontinued.
I recently stumbled upon an amusing article about this model on guitarz.blogspot.co.uk:
Lag Collection Thinline: atrocious or beautiful? Uninspired shape, small headstock, glossy marble finish, golden hardware, uncovered colorful pickups, everything I dislike in a guitar…
I don’t think it’s quite that bad !
Hi John, just spoke to you a few minutes ago on phone a bout the lag thinline on your Blog page, thanks for taking the time to speak to me and supply lots of information that I was looking for. First Class..thanks Martino
